The Local Assessment Development project engaged Maine teachers in the development, piloting, and field testing of standards-based assessments aligned with Maine's
Learning Results for mathematics and science and technology.
Assessment sets, including student assessments with task-specific scoring guides, alignment information and national standards references, suggestions for prior instruction and administration, and benchmarks samples of student work are posted at
www.mainelad.org. Assessments for mathematics and science & technology for grade spans K-2, 3-4, 5-8, and 9-12 are available.
Maine Assessment Portfolio MAP www.maptasks.org (this site is currently under repair)
The Maine Assessment Portfolio project produced standards-based assessment materials, aligned with Maine's Learning Results for mathematics and science & technology and intended for inclusion in portfolio collections but appropriate for individual administration as well.
Assessment sets, including student assessments with task-specific scoring guides, alignment information and national standards references, suggestions for prior instruction and administration, and benchmarks samples of student work are posted at
www.mainelad.org. Assessments for mathematics and science & technology for grade spans K-2, 3-4, 5-8, and 9-12 are available.
The website also includes opportunities for interactive scorer training and calibration exercises for each of the posted assessments.
