You may download a fully formatted copy of Maine's Curriculum Framework for Mathematics and Science for viewing and printing on your computer. Separate versions are available for IBM Compatible with Windows or Macintosh. The book file is large, about 1 megabyte. Downloading will take 10 to 15 minutes using a 14.4 kbps modem.
Steps for Downloading1. You will be asked below to click on a link to begin downloading. When you start the download, your browser will request a folder on your computer in which to store the book. Set up and name a folder--we will call it 'CFMS' here.
2. Once you have specified a folder, the actual download will begin. When the download is done, you will find an archive called CFMTHSCI.EXE (Windows) or Cfmthsci.sea.bin (Macintosh) in the CFMS folder. This is a compressed file containing the several subfiles making up the book.
3. Uncompress the file using the procedure described below for each version--you will then find seven or eight additional files in the CFMS folder.
4. Browse the README.TXT file to learn the very simple procedures for using the book files.Windows Version
Click here to download the Windows version of the Curriculum Framework.. When the download is done, uncompress the archive by running, in the CFMS folder, the file CFMTHSCI.EXE. (In Program Manager, select File->Run->Browse, locate and select the file, and click OK twice.) Then, use Notepad or a word processor to open the README.TXT file.
Macintosh Version
Click here to download the Macintosh version of the Curriculum Framework.. When the download is done, convert and uncompress the archive Cfmthsci.sea.bin using Stuffit Expander .
Note: If you do not have StuffIt Expander, you may want to order or download a free copy of it from Aladdin Systems. To uncompress the archive, merely drag it onto the StuffIt Expander icon. Then, Open the readme.txt file by double-clicking on it.
