The SC4 2008 summer content institute will focus on learning about waves in our world and will explore important ideas about sound, light and their wave properties. If you have wondered why rainbows look the way they do or how a flute actually works, this institute is for you. Join us as we learn about what waves are and how they behave, what makes sound work and why light behaves the way it does.
From Jello lenses to slinky models of the sounds you hear, engaging examples at this workshop will pair with firm scientific understanding and useful applications that help you explore the topics in the way you need to in order to help your students learn best. The workshop will be held in newly renovated classrooms on the beautiful campus of the University of New England -- Biddeford. Sign up soon to ensure your place at this institute. Participants will receive a daily stipend for participation in this workshop. |
