Title : SCITEC Network Summer Institute 2010
Discipline : Science and Engineering
Description : This event is open to SCITEC Network participants. During the summer institute, participants will:

1) further investigate the components of the engineering design process and consider effective pedagogy used throughout the curricular design cycle;

2) share lessons and activities implemented in their classrooms

3) be introduced to new strategies and approaches for integrating and supporting engineering design activities into science and CTE classrooms

4) consider ways to strengthen collaboration efforts to integrate curricula and activities between partner schools

5) develop work plan for 2010-11 that includes establishing PLCs.

Participants should bring a copy of their school's action plans, artifacts, and something to share with the group. SCITEC can provide overnight accommodations for those traveling more than 60 miles one way. If you would like overnight accommodations for the workshop, please contact Victoria Abbott.

A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided each day and participants will be reimbursed for mileage and receive a $125/day stipend.
