Write Your Own Everyday Engineering Mysteries
REGISTRATION IS CLOSED FOR THIS EVENT Develop your own short stories to engage students in solving authentic engineering problems specifically related to your school science curriculum. Featuring NSTA’s Everyday Science Mysteries series, this online facilitated workshop for K-6 teachers gives participants the opportunity to collaborate with others in bridging science inquiry and engineering while incorporating the science and engineering notebooks in the process. It is recommended, but not required, that teachers participate in the workshop with at least one colleague. Through online discussions and sample activities, teachers will learn new ways to elementary engineering opportunities for their students through the meaningful integration of science, engineering, science, and literacy.
Participants will receive a copy of ONE book of choice in the ESM series, (see below) a syllabus, a participation rubric, and materials for the discussions. Contact hours are awarded based on a participation rubric. ---------------------------- 1. Everyday Science Mysteries |
