Featuring NSTA’s publications, Everyday Science Mysteries (ESM) and More Everyday Science Mysteries (MESM), this online facilitated workshop for K-5 teachers will focus on the use of short mysteries to engage students in inquiry science. The workshop gives participants the opportunity to learn about one of the many reciprocal ways literacy and inquiry-based science reinforce each other. It is recommended, but not required, that teachers participate in the workshop with at least one other colleague. Through online discussions and sample activities, teachers will collaboratively learn new ways to improve elementary science through the meaningful integration of literacy in science.
