These monographs are the reflections of teachers involved in the EaSiE project. Each teacher was able to bring the real world into their classroom using standards-based and developmentally appropriate subsets of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) data and other resources. Their students examine components and interactions in natural systems in their "big backyard",explore patterns and trends in weather conditions over land and sea, graph and interpret atmospheric and hydrospheric data, and investigate seasonality on the surface and in the depths of the Gulf of Maine
