
The Science Content, Conceptual Change and Collaboration (SC4) Project is a partnership of the Maine
Mathematics and Science Alliance, the University of New England, the Auburn School Department, School
Union 29, MSAD 35, and MSAD 60.
Supported with funding from the Maine Department of Education, the SC4
partnership is a three-year program of professional development and leadership in physical science teaching
and learning, utilizing the Conceptual Change Model (CCM). As members of a professional science learning
community that fosters leadership and collaboration, teachers are able to examine their practice to improve
students' achievement and opportunities to learn.
